Meet JOJO Banda
My first “exhibition” was in our tiny apartment, drawing on the walls at two years old.
I grew up in a family of painters, with a tattoo artist uncle, and spent my high school art classes surrounded by some of the coolest people, including an amazing teacher, in Las Vegas, NV. All of that shaped my love for art.
That love only deepened at BYU–Idaho, where I had the privilege of learning under masters like Albin Veselka, Leon Parson, and Brian Call.
Because I also love to teach, I earned a B.A. in Secondary Art Education with a Minor in Fine Art—and now I get to teach some talented homeschooled teens once a week.
Besides that, you can find me playing in a creek with my babies and that's my favorite of all.

Creative Process
I primarily work with oil paint on linen canvas or wood panel, and charcoal on paper—focusing on portraiture and still life. I enjoy blending realism with impressionistic styles and love experimenting with color.
Let's work together!
I'd love to help you capture something real special. You can expect the final price to be $1.00 per square inch plus shipping and to have a great time!
